PCA Seminar on Pens for Kids  Saturday  and Sunday at 1pm
Free Fountain Pens for Kids attending
Come(any age) to learn about fountain pens
Pens for Kids is a program of the Pen Collectors of America to promote handwriting, personal
expression through writing, and love of writing instruments in young people. The Pens for Kids
program is helping foster a love of pens in the next generation.

The workshops were designed to foster an interest in pens and pen collecting in the next generation. The Pens
for Kids workshops also stressed the importance of handwriting and personal expression in communication.

The workshops were open to “kids of all ages.”
The hour-long workshop will feature a slide presentation with a brief history of pens, slides of various styles
of pens, and images of nibs and filling mechanisms. Each attendee received a student fountain pen.

Participants used their new pens in a handwriting exercise, and were given a Pens for Kids note card

so they could pen a personal note to a friend or family member.
